Uranium Conference 2026

Uranium Conference 2026:

Uranium back to the Future

The Geological Society of Namibia invites all interested practicing earth scientists, metallurgists, mining engineers, ecologists and other stakeholders to a Uranium Conference in Swakopmund.

Uranium as a mineral commodity has played a vital role in the economy of Namibia for the last 50 years.  As uranium poses an ongoing opportunity for mining and exploration within the country, we hope that the conference provides a welcome occasion for taking a comprehensive view of the main issues pertaining to this commodity. The Geological Society is committed to hosting a diverse and accessible conference.

The event is set out for the following scope and talk categories:

  • Geology and Metallogeny of Uranium Deposits.
  • Nuclear Energy and Energy Markets.
  • Mining, Processing and Beneficiation Innovations
  • ESG and Corporate Social Responsibility of the Uranium Industry.

If you are interested in presenting a talk or a poster kindly email your abstract to: geolsocnamibia@gmail.com
